It is with much sadness I read this post.
I remember the first time I met Martin at Ripon SC and when both our 'Matt's' had had enough he crewed for me in Hot Fuzz and that epic photo was taken which is still on my wall today.
We became firm friends and whilst living at opposite ends of the country we kept in touch. A spare bed at Martin and Tracey's and a good catch up always preferable to a Hotel when on business up North.
I even persuaded him to join us in the Lightning fleet for a while before illness again prevented him sailing. I will treasure that last time to sail together.
Rest in peace my good friend.

Yes I have a nice Mylar main wasted sitting in my office. Do you need the main only?
Sail is in Essex, where are you?

3387 or BSOD (Brancaster Staithe One Design) as it was affectionately named at Norfolk Week was a Gerry one off as can be seen from the unusual hull shape when Crusader 88's, Final Chapters were the vogue boats to have.

So now back at Up River YC for something to play with

On Sunday Gerry Ledger took Silent Running to his workshop for the hole to be repaired, now Paul Turners N12 has vacated the space. After much discussion about front tanks to cover the damage to the hull and mast step we deceded to keep it original.
Mast, Sails and Rudder have been obtained thanks to Steve Sallis and Gavin Gulliver-Goodhall.
When she returns will have to decide if the keels are coming off?

Silent Running will soon be home at Up River YC ;)

I suggest you contqact Gerry Ledger concerning the transom. His boats normally had a square aluminium tube at top pintle height as show on 3236 here. He may have some left over!

Boat For Sale on Apollo Duck April 2014

Wanting a wooden boat eliminates all the new designs unless you go for one of dare Barry's Man o' War Designs. I would have thought the best boat for you would be the Crusader 88 that is for sale by Pip Hudson at the moment. Great design for an introduction to Twelves.

No apologies needed Paul, 2881 is as standard as they come

As the temporary custodian of a Cheshire cat I think it owuld be fun. The problem with Angus' suggestion is where do you stop? Is Tom excluded because he has a carbon mast? So why shouold a DB not be allowed.
