Hey Angus, i'm not letting you get it all your own way this season - that rear spot is definitely mine!

Moved from a Baggy T to a Crusader last year - only one sail so far, but i'm sure it will be more my daughters cup of tea (son has graduated to laser - 6'2" and 10 stone).

I couldn't find the casio you mentioned on the highstreet, and I wanted to have a go with it before buying.

I finally found this on ebay and have stumped up the extra tenner - so i'll let you know how I get on. Thanks for the advice, I did take on board the need for a countdown timer and the clear start/stop button.

Has anyone got a recomendation for a simple watch for use in timing the start of a race?

Needs to be quite easy to read - eyesight not what it was.

It also needs to be cheap (post christmas reality check!)

Looks like a recent ad (?) - another boat from the Bristol fleet (based on the picture) - anyone know the number?  Wondering why they don't use the 12 site to sell???

Funky paint job and seems well priced to sell.

according to some research cited by the Independent on Sunday yesterdy, men are averaging 80 kg and this is an increase of 10kg from 1957 data.

and here is a 'more accurate measure' than BMI

Northampton's up North in'it?

All good suggestions from THG -

Rigging is a particular issue - I am frankly scared of rigging my new boat! There is also a whole science to packing up your boat for traveling.

Coaching would be greatly enhanced by video and debriefs while watching the video.

I am mightily reassured by this thread.

It is great to read that the TC has discussed this issue recently.

Let's have a new marketing drive "buy a 12 and beat obesity"

I've dropped from 13.5 st to 12st since owning one. I never stood on the scales before!

I wonder what the average BMI of 12 sailors is... (mine is 22.4)
