The image caption reads as follows "Close quarters during the Burton Trophy race at Weymouth (1952). Ian Proctor (N1000) in Stimulus had just got an overlap on G. Bull's Rampant."
Geoffrey Bull went on to finish 3rd with Proctor 4th.

I think there are signs of a resurgence in activity but in part that perspective depends on where you sail! We have lots of N12 activity at Whitefriars SC with a good mix of boats from clinker to modern all racing each other....and yes even at this time of year while most wait for warmer weather we see two or three N12's most Sundays! Some of the fleet will also surely be venturing on to the Traveller circuit this year so that will boost attendance a little at some of the key meetings.

Will be good to see N1137 in action...perhaps at the Vintage champs?

Beautiful wood National 12, sail no 3300 for sale.
Refurbished in summer 2024 including fully stripped and revarnished decks with 13 coats of Epifanes and a number of new lines fitted, sailed twice since. Main and jib in very good condition, plus spare main and jib. Boom up and boom down covers, both serviceable. Launching trolley and road trailer. Regrettable sale due to loss of regular crew. Currently in Cowes but can be brought to the mainland.
Open to sensible offers!

Now owned by Rob Owen at Whitefriars SC in the Cotswold Water Park where she is undergoing refurbishment....should be sailing again soon....once all the layers of old paint have been removed from the interior and the gelcoat polished....plus a myriad other little things to do....

Hull only and in need of complete restoration. Has been dry-stored in a barn for an unknown number of years.

Advert reads : stunning condition  China doll version of national 12 development class sailing dinghy,  complete with all over cover, two sets of good sails, carbon boom, all recently over halled and refinished in 6 coats of epifanes gloss varnish. clinker mahogany marine ply hull finished in a light blue, all excellent condition and ready for competive sailing  one off opportunity to buy a ready to go boat with timeless beauty . indispension combination trailer with new bearings and just  travelled 150 miles
