Yes, the double header Yorkshire weekend is nearly upon us with racing at Ripon SC on Saturday 4 October and at Yeadon SC on Sunday 5 October.  With the added attraction of the Ripon meeting being part of the Gul circuit we are hoping for a great turnout.  Camping available at Ripon on Saturday night (Friday night if arranged in advance with us), and our usual ace race team of Tez N'Babs and Chris you can expect all the usual windshifts and great hospitality from both clubs.  Evening meal at Ripon SC on the Saturday night, an indication of likely numbers would be much appreciated - for both the sailing and the evening meal.  We may even devise a quiz!
If anyone needs a crew please let us know asap and at least 2 weeks before the event.   Crews wanted ads to us for Ripon and to Tim for Yeadon please.  Both clubs have lots of good juniors who might like to take part.
Happy Sailing

The wonderful team at Wave Clothing will, hopefully later today, be adding event clothing for the Vintage Inlands to the N12 Association page on their website.  Look out for it and wear your tee-shirt, polo-shirt, hoodie or sweatshirt with pride!
Orders placed will be delivered direct to you, why not get your order in soon and start advertising the event for us!  I will post the link as soon as it has gone live,

I'm delighted to be able to tell you that the 2010 programme is now finalised and will go to the printers shortly.  It is my intention to get it to Graham this weekend for website posting.
Can I take this opportunity to thank all those who have worked behind the scenes to put the Gill, area, Vintage and Youth series together - thanks chaps!
Miss Clark, who has been privy to the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into pulling it together, has already worked out where she will crew (and where she will not!) and I'm looking forward to taking some pics at some super locations.
Happy sailing

The RNLI face crippling increases in charges for their VHF licences - from a current discounted rate of £48k to a massive £250k pa.  There is a petition website for those who object to this government led change - if you can help by signing up please visit the following link:

Please forward to anyone you think might help by signing the petition.

Just a quick reminder that this weekend is Filey Regatta.  The Filey SC website gives more details - http://www.fileysc.co.uk/ including race times etc.  Mark Simpson is the contact for this event.
We need 6 boats to get fleet status - RM will be there (hopefully without the hole in the hull discovered at Kippford), who else is coming out to play?

Bookings are already being accepted for chalets for the summer - if you are going to book one remember that this year the sailing at Hunstanton will be Sunday 29 July and Monday 30 July (it's Brancaster Staithe on the Saturday).  From what I can gather the Jenny Lee will be sailed for on the Monday night.  If you want to book you need to contact The Oasis Leisure Centre in Hunstanton.

Chalet C2 already booked for use as Pie Boy HQ!
