Snagglepuss plans to be there.

Well that was a fantastic event. Great race officering, great competition, great conditions. Many thanks to all at Burghfield and well done to Graham & Zoe for putting together a very consistent series of results.

Only one month until one of my favourite events of the year takes place on Saturday 30th January. This year it does not form part of the Sailjuice series so will probably be all the better for that! If you are thinking of participating then please be aware that entries have to be made on-line by 28th January at http://stevenicholsontrophy.co.uk/index.asp?selection=Enter%20Online&subsel=24 and may close early if the entry limit of only 120 boats is reached.

See you there?

Lindsey & I will be there in Snagglepuss (assuming P&B have mended the rudder!). No expectations, it's my first time in any type of boat since January, just happy to now be well enough to give it a go.

Having just found the sequence of photos (385-389) in the Sportography.com gallery for the event, it is clearly 3484.
Guess we just weren't out there long enough for any decent photos of Pip and me!

Love the new look, bright and fresh.

Then again, others spend their days at a brewery ;)

Snagglepuss will be there. Nothing interesting to say about either the kids or marital status of crew but the helm will definitely NOT be camping!

Emily,
if it helps, I have a carbon Superspars mast for my Baggy which is not currently sailable. You are welcome to borrow it, including cutting it down, so long as when it is returned you have it professionally put back to how it was. If you are interested in this option, I suspect you will need to source a new heel for it. I am in Essex, you can either collect it from me so you can get it sorted before Burton Week, or I can take it with me to Pevensey (arriving Friday lunchtime-ish). contact details are Kevin dot iles at chaucerplc dot com or (0)7912 997 889.

If it is a carbon mast you have broken then, so long as it is not in too many pieces, anyone who makes them should be able to repair it before Burton Week. As Nick said, P&B would be a good first call and Tom will probably deliver it to Pevensey bay for you.

Or you can enjoy some class racing at Pevensey Bay for Burton Week!

You might also have noticed that the Starboard side of the boat is 200 newer than the Port side. Obviously the numbers were a Friday afternoon job!

Nice vid. Any idea where we can find the photos that the guy in the RIB with the large wake was taking?

The first arrangement pictured does not appear to be capable of passing through a 102mm circle so would be out of class.
The second picture might pass this test but I can't see it would save much (if any) room in the boat because of where the rope/wire from the strut goes around the boom and I would be seriously concerned about point/crush loads from it on a carbon boom, and also have the same concern about the mast.
