HELP REQUIRED:

I'd be grateful if anyone has any ideas regarding a successful method of removing sail numbers without making a mess of the sail. I know of commerically available 'Sail Number Glue Remover' is that any help? Is it then a case of applying the Glue Remover and using your nails?!

Thanks,
Richard

With care of course and on Dacron, I have used petrol. Its a messy job and takes time, but it works.

As a regular purchaser of second hand sails, I have always used the edge of my thumb to slowly "roll" the left over gum into balls - you do get one hell of a blister eventually, but it does work if you do it slowly.

You can, of course, try to con a helper into using their thumb, (but not if they've read this first.)
