My current jib halyard tail is wearing rather thin - have some new Excel V12 6mm - does anyone have the time skill to splice this onto the jib wire for me - at least a pint or two in it??

Thanks,

Kean

Thanks for the advice - thats why I posted here - looks like it will go 'soonish' and like anything it will always break at the most critical time (sods law and all that).  Will change the main halyard before I go - can do that job whilst its still threaded up!

Kean,
If this is the clever new rope that you splice with a 'fid' then it is so easy I can do it.  I will try to bring my fid with me and show you how it is done, or you can buy one from Tom and it comes with easy to follow instructions.

I would be happy to do it for you. Having just spliced loads of the stuff on my new boat ive got the hang of it!! I will most likely be around still screwing things onto the boat in the dinghy park porthpean. So if you still need it doing give me a shout!!
