Thorpe Bay results - who actually won?

The reason that there were 2 sets of results was due to a conflict between the Gill Series appendix to the sailing instructions which provides for 1 discard if 3 races sailed - The Thorpe Bay sailing instructions were for 0 discards for 3 races.  

So the prizes for the Open Meeting were distributed as according to the Thorpe Bay open meeting sailing instructions whilst the Gill Series was scored according to the Gill series...

I think that the Thames Area should follow the Thorpe Bay scoring.  The Gill Series result is a distraction.

Next time we will try and avoid the opportunity for confusion!

In conclusion I think that John and Mandy "won".

I still think that the results are wrong!  We did not finish the last race, and the results i saw with the write up gave us a finishing position.  If we had tried to finish we would not have got the boat home un-aided!
