Datchet now closed again! Statutory notices flying around all over the place. Island Barn definitely closed this weekend. Fingers crossed for access next week. Don't want to miss Grafham.

In expectation of Thames Water lifting their denial of access to Island Barn (Datchet has now re-opened),  Electric Prune looking forward to being there and hoping the new mast makes it there at the same time.

Great day slightly spoiled by a stupid car accident later that evening resulting in 1 mast in 4 pieces. Boat OK. Back to the Crusader for next weekend .... ho hum.

Yes Alex & I will be there in our first official outing as paid up members of the double bottom club. As of yesterday, Matt & Joe Stiles were also planning on coming to give the newer boats a run for their money.

Can we camp at the club on Friday night?

I just agreed to buy Electric Prune from Kevin so that one's gone now. I think there's currently no DBs up for sale but with Ovvies now building boats for Tom I guess there will soon be a mini glut on the market.

Following Sunday's unfortunate "bum through side deck" incident at WRSC I need to borrow a boat for Ranelagh. Anyone know of one sitting unused on Sunday within reasonable distance of S London?

EPS 114 - to sail when the crew is "indisposed"

Unfortunately the N12 event of the year clashes with a rather larger event in London involving skinny men on two wheels. On the assumption that there will always be another N12 event but there's only one Tour de France in London, I've opted for the latter. Will be making the trip up north to WRSC though.

Photos are great to eat your lunchtime sandwiches to - there's a lovely sequence of a 4 boat wide mark rounding - any gunwhale scrapes from that one?

looks like it was a great day - wish I could have been there. My only consolation is Alex's football season is now over so less time will now be spent ferrying boys around S & SE London and more time sailing!
