There's an albacore at BCYC which is completely white apart from the name which is in blue and the name "Almost blue". Apparently when the boat was ordered they asked for it to be blue but were some what suprised to find a white boat.

A huge thank you to all those involved in making it a great weekend. I thorougly enjoyed the event and I hope others did as well.
The seminar in the evening was extremely entertaining but also had some more serious points addressed. The club house now has an interesting gallery of what the perfect crew should look like!  ;D

Hope you have all dried out now, Happy Easter!

Well best of luck up north Tim.  Gives me time to gain a few more inches so there will be no doubt who is taller!  ;D

You heard the man/woman (?) VOTE TEN and tell EVERYONE even if they've never heard of a national twelve (like my ICT class) and get them to vote!!

Wow, a thank you to the 106 people who have already voted, but we're still only rated as an average of eight...so I think we all need to click the little circle two along to the right of 8 (that's a 10)  :P
The calender is definately a great idea...especially if they can print national 12 events on it, like they do with specific holidays on normal calenders.

It's amazing what you find in our bookcase!
Well the book has now been passed in to the very capable hands of graham.

I read that there's going to be a big stand this year at the dinghy show to celebrate the 70years and wondered if anyone wanted to borrow a book that my dad found that contains lots of pictures of 12s.  The book is written by a Peter Copley, ay relevance to the class there? As it says they are his own photographs.
I'm not sure what dates the photographs are but the front cover picture is of kevin Bloor planing  N2184 "Imrahil".  Most of the boat numbers are in the 2000s
There also includes pictures of the 12s at Weymouth for a national chamipionship (but it wasn't 2004).

If anyone is interested then reply to this message here, or email me pip@prestleigh.com better yet I will have the book at Starcross this weekend so come and find me there.

Yes, thank you everyone who made it such a great week and how glad was I that we didn't have to sail in the rain that drowned us on the way back!
I am now in the process of sorting out the photos my mum managed to take during a couple of the races - though I'm having to delete a lot of pictures of just the water (tongue) - they should be in the gallery very shortly!

Yes, I can confirm what Tom says!
Having had two nose dives in one year, Chris and I had quite a bit of practice! I can fly between the shrouds quite easily now!
However, pumping the jib as the nose goes in and getting back quickly helps to pull the nose out!
It has helped keep the number of nose dives to 0 this year!

Yes, sorry we missed it!
Our centre-board decided it would be fun to delaminate itself...
All fixed now ready for the inlands.
See you all  there

Chris Bishop and I will be there and we are coming in a convoy with the Starship Enterprise. So Gavin and Jasmine Willis will also be there.

Hey,
Just to say that I received a hoodie for my birthday this weekend and it is SO warm to wear, especially if you are in a tent in the middle of a field!!
Thanks
