The Events

This year the National 12 Series will feature 7 events across the country. The season kicks off with the regular sprint racing at Burghfield SC (with around 8 15-20 minute races). Then we travel to Trent Valley in the Midlands for some river sailing on the River Trent.  We head down to Whitefriars SC in the Cotswolds for the third event combining coaching on the Saturday with National Series racing on the Sunday and vintage racing over both days.  Then it's classic 12 sailing at Royal Harwich Yacht Club at the beginning of July where the class will also be celebrating its 90th anniversary. The highlight of the National 12 sailing season is of course the Burton Week National Championships. This four day event will take place at Shoreham SC from the 29th August to 1st Sept and will include the Burton Cup race and Burton Dinner. Excellent racing, socialising, fun and games are guaranteed!  The season rounds off with Ripon SC in October the final event again at Northampton Sailing Club on the 2nd November.  The series prize giving will be after racing on the Saturday, followed by the club's bonfire night celebrations and firework display.

The National 12 Series events will be sailed under the requirements of the respective Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions for the open meeting and for the Series per this notice.
