N.1425, "Zoe" was a Trent Valley boat, owned in its later years by John Morley. The picture previously submitted shows the boat heading up the Trent from the TVSC clubhouse towards the so-called "doldrums". Zoe was sailed very competitively up to the early 1960's even though by this time, the much better Proctor Mk.8's were becoming widespread. Zoe was also one of the six boats used in a special sailing match (in Twelves) when an American Universities sailing team visited Trent Valley in around 1959. Ken Goddard |
