N12 boat registration, certification and membership


The forms on the page allow you to re-register a second-hand boat, replace a missing or lost certificate, order a sail number for a new boat and join or renew membership of the National 12 Owners' Association.

National Twelve Class Rules state that change of ownership invalidates the certificate, and any new owner needs to register the boat in their name.

The Registration Certificate/Measurement Certificate issued for each National Twelve will show the current registered owners name and address, and also shows the current sail plan dimensions and hull/spar weights etc.

  • Payments can be made on-line securely by PayPal using a credit/debit card or PayPal account.
  • Download membership or boat registration form to pay by cheque.
  • For membership subscriptions there is a standing order form to setup regular payments.

Register an existing boat in your name and/or change the boat name
To replace the certificate which shows you as the named owner, but which has been lost
To request a new certificate where any data section is full
Order a new sail number for a brand-new National 12 (never registered before).
Join or renew Association Membership as either a Full or Associate member
