Having lived down here for a few years ago I am only aware of one site within a (long) stones throw of TBYC and that is:
East Beach Caravan Park
Shoeburyness

They used to take tents. not sure if they still do.
There is an alternative at:
Riverside Holiday Village
Wallasea Island
Rochford

But this is a bit further out and not good for socials at the cub if you like a beer. May be good for familys though.
Would be suprised at camping at the club, Kevin would need to confirm this.
At a push could get two tents in the garden and the penthouse (office at the botteom of the garden) could sleep 2 amd has heating! Price to be negotiated!!!

Camping at Burton Week - we have an application in with the local council requesting permission to use the massive field next to the dinghy park for this purpose. This looks likely to succeed, especially as they have granted permission for similar events recently, but we need the formal bits of paper before we can say definitely.
