It's just two weeks to go to the 2nd Thames Area event of 2014, the 52nd Hamble Warming Pan hosted by Hamble River Sailing Club on 15th and 16th March 2014. We'll be sharing the river Hamble with Merlin Rocket, Firefly, Albacore, Enterprise, Laser & Foxer classes.
There will be two races each day with the first starts scheduled for 1100 GMT both days. Racing will start and finish on the HRSC club line, just five minutes sail from the launching area. The event Notice of Race is now available on the HRSC website
Entry fees have been kept at the same level as last year, just £25 for double-handed crews and £12 for single-handers.
Food and drink will be available in the HRSC clubhouse on the Ferry Hard throughout the weekend.
Accommodation hints and other useful information are available on the Hamble River Sailing Club website.

Sorry, Chill Out won't be there, but keep an eye out for J105 Mostly Harmless (GBR3111N - N12 old timers will recognise the riff on 42's number) which will be doing the first race of the Warsash Spring Series that weekend - Natalie and I will try not to get in the way of the Twelves as we come back up the Hamble after our race on the Solent.

Hamble Warming Pan â€" this weekend â€" arrival notes
Looking forward to seeing you all at the weekend in Hamble. The weather forecast looks fantastic!
Briefing for Saturday’s racing is at 1015 (first race start scheduled for 1100) and you will be able to enter the event in the clubhouse from 0900.
We’ve been asked by Hamble Parish Council (who own the dinghy park and waterfront area) to pass on a few polite requests on what to do when you arrive.
If you are towing a boat please proceed down Hamble High street (the cobbles) and you will then arrive on the waterfront road.
Do NOT drive into the pay carpark with your boat. Instead proceed down the road to the entrance to the dinghy park and park on the road. Unhitch your trailer and wheel the boat and trailer through the dinghy park barrier and across the dinghy park to the waterfront grass area. There’s plenty of room on the grass for up to 70 boats.
Visiting boats must NOT be parked in the dinghy park area. They can only be left on the grass area.
HRSC volunteer marshals will be around to help and advise. Please obey their instructions and leave your boat in the right place i.e. on the grass. Sanctions may be applied to those who don’t.
Free parking will be available all weekend in the Donkey Derby Field. Once you’ve dropped the boat jump back in your car and drive up the hill to the Field.

See you all at the weekend!
