Hey! I used to own this boat as well! From Vanishing Smile, I shortened her name to 'Smile' (short for smile on the face of the tiger(design)). I agree with Bob that she was a nice boat to sail, but hindered (then) by a poor mast and ageing sails. I sold her to a chap in Wilmslow about 3 years ago.

Surprised you could rename as "Smile".  My Cheshire Cat 2997 bought around 1983 had no name.  All cat related names seemed to have already been used.  Since the most memorable thing about Alice's cheshire cat was the grin we named her "Smiley"
