The life of N3398 Arctic Fox.   Design: Design 8, designed by: Phil Morrison in 1987
Previous boat names: Charlotte Sometimes, Full Circle, Fantastic Mr Fox.

Phil Brown

Feb 07. Now owned by Phil and Dawn Brown and sailing at Spinnaker (and beyond). Lightweight (family) crews also available for the right conditions!

Sold to us by Vyv Game at Starcross. Any earlier history and photos?
Was originally named Charlotte Sometimes and does feature in the handbook.

According to Ovingtons, one of 6 (?) built by them in a female mould. Epoxy and Divinacell and would have been vacuumed and possibly cooked.

It's a great boat and really looking forward to sailing

So, look out guys, we'll be after you . . .
. . just as soon as I work out what all these strings do (book2)

See you out there(sunny)

Boat may have had something of a head on altercation with an Exe navigation mark due to supposedly competent 12 helm showing off while rudderless sailing...can't think who that might be...

THG

Didn't show any damage in the pic  ;D

Charlotte Sometimes was owned from new by Jon Ibbotson.  I think, although he or Charlotte (his sister), might correct me that the name is a reference to a song by (perhaps) The Cure.  The boat won a lot of open meetings in the time that they owned her, I mean lots and lots, before the lure of a Double Bottom took them in the direction of a Waller Chapter.

Jon sold her to a very nice guy at Grafham who got too involved in childrens sailing to ever have time to travel with her.

That guy at Grafham was Peter Saxton.

Not sure when it made its way down to the West Country.

Some people think that sailing at Spinnaker is only about light winds . . . .
