Hi everyone,

The time has come that Baggy Aardvark may be getting some new sails!

What are peoples htoughts on which ones to get value for money etc?

I'm assuming most peeps buy alverbanks, p and b or redeye?

thanks a bunch,

Felix

Hi Felix!

I recommend you talk to Kevan Bloor at Alverbanks, but then I'm biased! P&B are also awfully nice  :D

Cheers!

Jim.

Don't forget Rowsells in Exmouth - was very pleased with my sails for Discoball and Rich Williams goes very fast with them too...

I have a great new suit of Alverbanks from Kevan which are a dramatic improvement on the 10 year old one's I used last year.

I went for Pentex laminate main and Dacron Jib after taking some advice. These were made for my mast bend profile.

You might be better off repairing all the holes I drilled in the bottom to slow you down a bit this summer. The Alverbanks made for PP worked very well (as you know) however the Rowsells on 3454 feel very fast and tweeky.
On the basis you are coming tomorrow for the first evening race (there is a 3 line whip) you can have a look. No doubt our local Seers will give you the benefit of his experience, eh David & Steve!.
Sadly Tom can't sail Wom Pom, some idiot (moi) has cut the first of two large holes in the bottom in our mission to remove bilge keels that you would normally find on a Westerly Konsort.
Let's see if Jim can resist putting in his pennyworth to this reply!!  :o

Hi guys, thanks for the advice,

I've never heard of roswell's ill have to have a look at simons At the mo' im working on
getting a nice second hand set of P and B's From David Greening, which seem to fit the mast well.

Oh and no sinking from holes in Baggy Aardvark last night thankfully, she was going well! :)

And tim, are you still in the land of the frog or are you thinking of setting foot in a 12 again?

Felix - if you're going well why not test your boat out at South Cerney and drag along all the other Spinnaker boats too - I know David W is coming along.  Its around an hour and half or so from Spinnaker.

Great forecast still Sunny and Wind 3-4 in pm.

Ah ha, thats why david was packing up his boat yesterday!

Normally i'd definately say yes to that, not far for me to go either, altho i have to go bak to u university this weekend, and with exams looming next week and no revision yet done, think it
would be a bit to much to organise in such a short time!

More organisation needed by me i think!

thanks so much anyways!

Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on...........

How long does it take to get organised - you have a lovely shiny new combi too??

If its a crew issue let me know as I should be able to find one.

Why revise - go out and socialise - thats wot uni is for....

U can wakeboard too on next door lake - cable tow!

Changed your mind yet????   ::)
