Hi

We will be at the show on Sunday afternoon - hoping to avoid the crowds so i don't expect the show to be too busy, but we will come and say hello and help if required

Sorry but I can't help with a solution.  However, if as I guess your boat is 3326, then it was built by Gerry Ledger.  His number is in the NTOA booklet and I am sure that he would have a look at this photo and then be able to advise on some next steps.  Hope this helps.

We have owned Magnificat having purchased from Roly Mo.

She is lovely to sail inland and we have enjoyed her on the river at Bourne End.  Photos are from the Open Meeting at Henley in 2009 - sailed by Antony Gifford and Juliet Brown.

Now for sale in February 2012 as we did not use Magnificat enough last summer.  Too many boats!

Jon Ibbotson and Charlotte Stewart won.  Very windy on Sunday with only five boats venturing out, but all getting home without damage.  For those who were down in August it was even windier than the Monday race!  Lots of swimming but fortunately no major damage I am aware of.

2nd and first Junior, and first AC boat was Peter Ballantine crewed by Theo Harris / Tom Morris and third was Tom Ballantine and Nicky Bass.  Well done Salcombe

The mainsheet will get in the crews way whilst you are enjoying yourself.  Draw yourself a picture which shows where the mainsheet is on a run or a reach with either set up.  Then work out where the crew might be sitting.

You can have one though.  The only way that anyone seems to persist with this arrangement is if they always sheet the main from the boom.

And yes I have tried it and I don't have it any more!

We will go if you all go...

We are going to do the STOMP night at SYC the night before and hope to celebrate at the prize giving too!

John, SYC should directly email all N12 entrants as I am not sure that this is the best way to get to everyone.

As a starter Char it is in two weeks time.  I am sure someone will be along with more helpful info soon!

Ian - the image is a Waller chapter and I think the work has been done by Euan Seel.

Jeremy - don't forget rule 7.6 - I am not sure that the system in the picture would be legal.

Advice on systems is that they need to be very strong!

It's before you retire Jane!

Indeed it was fantastic.  Just need to get the boat glued back together now.
