For years I was cursed with the ownership of the increcidble sinking paws the infamous invention of John Sears thought id got away from it.
I  returned to n12s after many years picked up Gillespie yesterday from Tony Edwards I noticed a small repair section in one of the side decks Tony said that was where he had been hit by John many years before so there you have it even my new boat has Remnents of John Sears on it just hope it dont nose dive as bad.

well looking forward to teaching my boy to sail in Gillespie

Boats / Re: N3257 Simply Red

What can I say about Simply Red well when I was much younger and lighter I crewed in her in 1988 at Burton week never did get windy enough and it was a real slug in the light stuff (remeber seeing really badly sailed boats going past us like we were stuck in glue) all that said when the wind picked up enough to lift that heavy duty rocker she then started to play nice.
To sum it up good in a blow but no blow no go

Well what can I say I was the last owner of this legend of N12 history, she is now in boat heaven the repair made to the transome that was made by John Sears in its early life aftter accident in petrol garage saw its end what with that and gipsys stealing the rig for the aluminium value REP Paws you will be missed but not the frequent nose dive dips.
