Could something be added on how to use a foiling rudder, how to tell what it's doing and how and when it could be adjusted when sailing.
I think the foiling rudder is actually a real positive to the class but I think the perception is VERY different and something which explains what they are all about might stop some of the negativity potential purchasers might have. To be honest before I commissioned SOG I was very anti as they just seemed an over complication but having used one I have changed my mind.
An update on the tuning info for Hijacks and DCBs might also encourage people to the class.

Grimly Fiendish could be available. Needs a fair bit of TLC and a new mast but well worth the effort. Be at is Layto ng at Ardleigh SC

I'm planning to rock up Friday night. Just hoping for a fraction less wind than last year

Can I send a cheque to anybody for this and does anybody have the phone number for the camping.
Oh will the club be open on the Saturday night this year?

Same here unfortunately. Weather around us is meant to be pretty bad so as I was in two minds anyway we are giving it a miss.

General National 12 chat / New Sails

Well the missus has given me the go ahead to get some new sails for N3546 so now comes the difficult bit.
Where to get them from.
Most obvious seems P&B but my existing sails are Goucher and seem pretty fast.
I was impressed with Daves sails he made for Gillespie which are Dynamic sails and HD sails look pretty good.
Can anybody give any feed back on any of these other manufacturers good or bad. Probably sailing with about 100 kg, using an original Angell mast mainly on inland waters
Any help really appreciated

Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year to one and all. Hope Santa brings everything you wish for and plenty of sailing gear to boot.
Hopefully see some of you in 2018

Need some help guys and girls.
I have been using an Angell mast which has been set up with free swinging spreaders but I want to be able to adjust them. Bought some selden adjusters but they do not fit into the carbon spreader bracket. I am presuming this spreader bracket is standard size on all of Rogers national 12 masts and if so can somebody tell me what make of spreader adjusters fit into it. Pulling my hair out and I haven't got a lot to spare so really need your help
Thanks
Stuart

Great weekend, great sailing. Shame the bar wasn't open Saturday night but a great venue.
Brilliant coaching and racing. Learned loads and my crew loved every minute of it and is a lot more comfortable and confident in the boat.
Any informal results for Sunday's racing. Want to know if I won the wooden spoon 😳

Having pre booked on the basis of free camping can this be clarified, can I camp in the overflow car park and is it free or do I have to book in the farmers field?.

I want to pre book for the 12 fest at Rutland but the only way to do it appears to be bank transfer. Problem is, being old and old fashioned, I don't do Internet banking and all that malarkey. Does anybody know any alternative payment methods I could use.
