Dear all, It's light in the mornings and people are starting to think about holidays, in August in Cornwall. Porthpean to be precise.

We've had a couple of requests in from good sailors from outside the class who are keen to do Burton week.

Do you have a 12 you'd we willing to lend? If so please get in touch with Nigel May (number in the book) or post here

The Daily Sail are running a couple of articles on the National 12 this month, the first one is about the history of the class and is published already. The second one is on recent developments and will be out soon.

To read the article you have to be a member of the Daily Sail, but they do have a 10 day FREE trial offer ;)

We got this note from the RYA, if anyone has any ideas for the event please feedback via Janet ntoa @ direct.co.uk

      QUOTE:

      Dear All,

Please make a note in your 2006 sailing Calendars of the following event:

RYA Women's Championships, 20th & 21st May 2006 at Hayling Island Sailing Club.

We are looking to revamp the event for next year following feedback from the sailors at previous events - if there are any ladies in your club or association that would not mind getting in contact with me I would very much like to discuss ideas for next years event.

I would also like to be able to gauge the level of interest and likely entry numbers as this will help with planning the on-the-water coaching, video debriefs and evening socials.

Many thanks to you all and have a great Christmas!
