Hello all

This is as formal notice of race as you are going to get for the Milton Keynes SC 12 open. First off please note the date change from the 11th to the 12th JUNE. There was a date class at the club and we had to move the date. I hope this hasn't caused any problems for anyone one was planning to come.

The plan is bacon butties for rigging, first race 11 o'clock followed by a spot of lunch. Then joining in with the club pursuit race with separate starts for different eras of 12 and finally rounding the day off with 'normal' race.

As per last year we will be sharing the lake with the club racing but we will have our own start.

So who's coming along to enjoy some sailing in the countries youngest city?

Looks like a great event shame we couldn't make it along.  8)

Hello all

I would like to pass on Team Subversion apologies for absence once again. This time we are going to miss one of the best events and lunches on the calendar due to Kerry's sister has deciding to get married the same weekend. There is also a small issue with me not being allowed by the doctors to go sailing after 'slightly' breaking my leg.

With luck we should be on the water for the next event.

It's good call not planning to be there this weekend it does look kinda cold and windy. It's good to hear you have both already got the summer date in your diary's. It means if we get all the club 12's on the water plus you two we are up to five, I wonder if Mr Brown and to 2 Ely boats will be making the trip to MK again.

On a side note. The club has a gas BBQ and I was wondering the other day if the weathers nice and people don't want rush off did we want to have a post open BBQ?

Hello she looks really good and if you don't mind asking is that another 12 following you?

I know it's short notice and possibly a bit rude posting this considering I won't be sailing due still suffering from a broken leg. If anyone is feeling like they missing a nice friendly opening meeting then MK SC are hold their winter pursuit race this Sunday. Bacon rolls served from 9 o'clock race starts at 11 and last 2 hours, entry fee reasonable.
Would be good to see some 12's there and good chance to get a look at the lake before the open meeting in June.

Sorry Paul while it does sound like a mighty fine idea, I'm not a fun of early starts.

If anyone is thinking of doing Ely a couple of weeks before and doesn't fancy tower their boat back. I'm sure I could sort out some boat storage.

If you google carbon tubes there's a company from Liverpool way which look pretty but I haven't just them.
In the interests of balance Dave Chisholm is probably alright if sail 14's but thats just from what I have heard from other people.

PS a recent advert on ebay offered 10 sheets of 4mm marine ply for £65 and many offers for cedar planks which would provide material for the strip planking.

Maybe the whole boat and give it wrap of 200g carbon ;)
