Hi Jason
I've just seen this post.
I'm a member of Parkstone but no longer have a National 12. One of the member had a Numinous design as toy (there's no fleet racing for them at PYC) but it hasn't been at the club for a year or so.
Have you had any success with your quest? If not perhaps try Spinnaker SC which is where we last sailed our Twelve, there may be one or two stool there.

This is very, very sad.

The funeral will be a family event and they have requested no cards or flowers but donations to:

https://www.justgiving.com/Comms-Do-Snowdon/

This goes to Macmillan nurses who are such a comfort to so many who face this horrible illness. Terry's daughter-in-law is in the team tackling the challenge of Snowdon for this cause.

To quote the rule book:

"12 CREW
The crew shall consist of two persons including the helmsman."

[face=HelveticaNeue-Roman]That being said, I have sailed countless club races singlehanded in various Twelves and they are a delight to sail singlehanded. My single hnded weight at 14stones+ was nearer to some competitors weights two up than I could have been when sailing with a crew. The local club rules permitted sailing singlehanded and used the normal 12 handicap, though some races were personal handicaps wich tended to correct matters.  Strictly speaking I was sailing out of class.[/face]

Ok, I promise this is the last attempt to squeeze a bit more sponsorship from the 12 fleet for this - Frances completed her run in the pouring rain yesterday & was featured in an interview on BBC South Today: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=681262065297720
Frances' fund raising page for Headway remains open for another couple of weeks or so:

A huge thank you to those who have already been so generous in their support.

The last "bump" I promise! Frances runs today
A huge thank you to those who have already shown very generous support - we are both deeply touched and very appreciative.
Best wishes to you all - have a fantastic Burton Week.

Another shameless "bump".
A huge thank you for the generous support already shown.
Frances does her run on Saturday and is very touched by the support given. The total including Gift Aid is now moving towards an amazing £1,700!

A shameless "bump" with a quote from Frances's Facebook page today:
"A year ago today I was, I am told, ...within half an hour of dying. At best they thought I would have serious brain damage.

But I am here! And next week I am going to run 5k to raise money for Headway, the charity which supports people with acquired brain injury and their families. I am lucky. My brain damage is small.

When I left hospital, I had limited use of my limbs. I couldn't read. I couldn't tell the time. I couldn't do lots of things that we take for granted. I am lucky. So much has come back, thanks to medication and hard work.

If you haven't already, please make this birthday special for me and my amazing family by sponsoring me in my run. Thank you. "

Just rigging the boat this evening when I noticed a Numinous tucked away in the corner of the yard - I'd guess Jayseayess from the colour.
Good to see.
If the new owner fancies chatting 12's  he/she should wonder over to the Merlin ranks, we now sail MR 3655 Loosed Cannon but have so many happy memories of sailing 12's over around 35 years.

Thank you to those who have supported Frances to date - her total is now over £900!

It would be great to see this exceed £1,000!

Some of you who remember racing against us may know hat Frances was very seriously ill last year and has been diagnosed with Churg-Strauss Syndrome. The vasculitus that she suffered last summer has left her with a number of new challenges in life. Because and in spite of these, she has been working hard for the last few weeks with the aim of completing a 5K run at the beginning of August to raise money for the brain injury charity Headway and she would really appreciate any support you could give her by visiting her fund raising page at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=FrancesWilkins and sponsoring her â€" she’s already reached £500!

5k will be a huge achievement from where she was a few weeks ago when she started running for the first time in her life and, due to her brain injury had to work hard on teaching her legs and feet to do the necessary.
