I would like to echo John's thanks and add that camping next to the clubhouse and ease of launching at all states of the tide into a sheltered harbour must surely make Shoreham a top consideration as future Burton Week venue.

Snagglepuss is planning on arriving Saturday. How long should we allow to sail out to the start area and is there a briefing?

Great weekend, especially when the sun came out today.
Thanks to Tom, Charlotte and everyone at Northampton for their excellent organisation, to Gul for their generous sponsorship, and to Emma for sailing with me.
Well done to Graham & Zoe.

Great day at Grafham on Saturday. Those of you that didn't make it missed a fantastic day of sunshine and enough wind to make it interesting.
Full results and some phots are on the GWSC site at: http://www.grafham.org/welcome-to-shift-city
Thanks to everyone involved in organising and running the event.

Gutted!! Pevensey is one of my favourite venues but due to a family commitment I am not able to make it this year. If anyone is hesitating, it's a great club with proper sea sailing - just go!

General National 12 chat / Great Result
24 Feb 2013, 10:22
Congratulations to Jon Ibbotson and Charlotte Stewart for their win in the double handed fleet at the Steve Nicholson Trophy. They sailed extremely well, and consistently, in both races to return a 4th followed by a 3rd to win the 53 boat fleet by one point.

Great result for them and the class! :)

Ah! You noticed my deliberate mistake. Apparently the sail number has been corrected but they can't show it on the web-site!!!

Let's get some more N12s there.

As of midday today there are a further 35 entry places available at www.SailJuiceSeries.com. These will close at midnight Tuesday 19th February, or earlier if full.

Most enjoyable sailing I have had for over a year. Especially enjoyed the tightness of the competiton: 9 boats finishing within about 30 seconds at the end of the 3rd race was something else. And the plentiful food was unbelievably great value!

Thanks to all involved with organising and running the event. Northamton SC remains one of my favourite venues.

Lindsey and I will be using the event as our annual father and daughter bonding session. :)

Jonno to Tom: Forward a little ......

Tom to Jonno: That's as far as I can reach to put the P&B sticker where it will be seen when we are in our usual windy weather trim.
