A really great weekend, and fascinating to see a foiler, a DB, an AC and a Vintage in the top placings!

SBM,  you have given the game away!  Himself wishes to point out that you should be sailing!!!!!
A frantic morning finding crews, printing out quiz questions, sorting out the child's sailing gear and I think we might be just about organised!
So looking forward to a great weekend of N12 sailing and socialising, look forward to seeing lots of you at RSC tomorrow and on Sunday

The NOR and SI's are now available via the Ripon SC website (www.ripon-sc.org).  Broadly speaking the arrangements are:
Saturday - briefing 11am, first race 11.30 with 2 further races to follow, Sunday - first race 9.45, with a further race to follow.  5 races, 4 to count.
Camping is available on site on Friday and Saturday nights but please let us know if you are arriving on Friday so we can look out for you.  We'd prefer it if you arrived before 10pm please - we need our beauty sleep!   Our galley will be open on Saturday and Sunday and the Galley Girls are planning breakfasts, lunches and a supper on Saturday night.  The bar is stocked with some fine wines and local ales - what more could you ask for (other than good wind and sunshine!).

Our intention, but it is still to be finalised, is to run the first race on Saturday at 11.30am with 2 more to follow during the afternoon.  There will then be 2 races on Sunday probably starting at around 10am and noon so that we can fit the normal club racing in at 11am and still get all the 12's off home at a reasonable time.    I hope to get a revised NOR sorted out by the end of the week.

I don't have an accommodation list but if you look for B&B's in Knaresborough, Boroughbridge or Wetherby those are all close by.  The General Tarleton Inn is in the village of Ferrensby (less than a mile from the club) and does a good mid week rate I'm told but am not sure about weekend rates.  If I get chance to do some research I will post a list on here.  The Days Inn at Wetherby is probably the cheapest place to stay.
In terms of those who are coming to camp, you can arrive between 6pm and 10pm on the Friday night (possibly later but only if agreed in advance as the crew needs her sleep) and one of us will be around to point you in the right direction.  In addition to the normal food through the day and an evening meal, the galley will be serving breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, and the bar will be open on Friday and Saturday nights.

Oh heck Howard, now I need to think of some questions!

Please post here if you are coming along, our ace RO team have just confirmed that they will run the Sunday racing for us and the Galley Team are busy planning a great meal on Saturday night (alongside their normal 'daytime' fare) so all we need now is sunshine, wind and LOTS OF 12'S!

Ripon Sailing Club are delighted to announce that their offer to host the cancelled Gill meeting has been accepted and that the weekend of 6 and 7 October will now be a Gill meeting.  We still have lots of detail to sort out and Chadders and I will be spending some time on that today, but we are looking forward to a great weekend of sailing and socialising and hope that we will have a great turnout for the event.
Camping will be available at Ripon SC on Friday and Saturday nights and our wonderful Galley team are laying on food during both days and also providing a supper on Saturday night.  If time permits I will prepare one of my dastardly quizzes and we will make sure the bar is stocked with plenty of good beer and fine wine.
Our Race Team for the event are ex 12 sailors who we know will provide us with some great courses so all we need now is some sunshine and a good wind!  Last year it was so warm we had a BBQ after sailing, so fingers crossed!
