I will be sailing Triarda (2266) with Cathy Joseph who is kindly coming from oop North to crew for me st Ripon and the day after at Yeadon.  Andrew Cowling and Catherine Ward will be sailing Squidgy Bits and hopefully Barrow Boy will make it out with RYA coach Peter Robinson. So three out of my four in use.  Hopefully Brian KITCHING will find a crew and also be at Ripon.  Neil McInnes and John Cheetham are also hoping to do both opens so looking good so far.
Who else is coming out to play? 8)

A superb opportunity to combine our Northern Area open meeting with Barts Bash at Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club this coming Sunday 20th September.  Two races in the morning followed by the famously YDSC lunch then the final race including Barts Bash in the afternoon.  Please remember to enter Barts Bash online prior to the event.  Further information from Neil McInnes if required.  Please let us know if you are coming.  8)

Good to discuss. Not so good to fall out or sling insults chaps, you asked for other views so a few from my perspective with a fifty year old vintage boat which has been refurbished twice and a body 18 years older than that with dodgy joints and no refurbishments yet.  Northern based and on the committee!
Herne Bay/recent champs-  every report I have heard or read was positive so a big well done to all especially Tom Stewart not only for his brilliant results but for being the driving force in re organising the champs to Herne Bay at short notice after Felixstowe let us down!
Northern Venue-  your committee has discussed Northern venues this year and we are not ignored but champs are normally booked well in advance ( up to 4 years in advance).  I am sure that we would be happy to have any contacts and to explore options for a Northern Venue.  I did go to the Sunderland venue and it would be a great location as would Filey or perhaps Bridlington so any contacts gratefully received Will.  It will be interesting to see how many make the journey to the Scottish Champs in Kipford.
Vintage Burton Race-   I like the idea of allowing vintage boats to sail a shorter Burton Cup Race but agree it is satisfying to complete the race as it is intended and Tom always waves as he passes us on his last beat and our third beat!
Perhaps a survey of members is required again especially those who have attended Burtons during the last say five years and why have those who no longer come stopped having dropped from 70 at Thorpe Bay to around 30 this year.
All for now from me and I confess my stopping after the Hayling Burton is age related more than anything.  Howard C. n2266 + others

Whilst this is a great event sadly I will not be able to sail the event this year, Tim Gatti is also working all weekend (in Norfolk) and can't make it and our other regular attendee Brian Herring is unable to make it at short notice too!  The event is multi class and  will go ahead, just wondering if any other vintage fleet boats are going?  Howard N2266+ aka Chadders. :o

Big apology to Will for T boning you on the start line, I await the bill in due course and apologies to anyone close whose ears may have been adversley affected by the deafening crash, Starfish bow v Big Issue gunwhale = big dint in Big Issue.  Sorry. :o8)

Hi Will sorry not at Ullswater as we are on holiday next week elsewhere but can make it to Sunderland with my vintage boat as long as it's a vintage  friendly forecast that is.  Crew organised, who else is coming out to play And what time is the first race/briefing etc.8)

Hi.
Welcome to the Class and a confession!  Twas me who suggested you ring Tom so I will hold my hand up and stand 100% behind my comment without hiding as just N12.  Look forward to seeing you on the circuit although from behind in my trusty Design 8 (my new boat at only 25 years old) or more likely even further behind in my Starfish which is fifty years old.  Be aware when the bug gets you it stays with you they are great fun to sail and a great crowd to sail with.  Just wish I was still young enough to do justice to a DCB.   Enjoy 8)

Planning on coming with Triarda and Helen arriving am Saturday just for the day cos it's not that far from Yeadon/Knaresborough.  Philip David is hoping to sort a crew and come over too, any spare crews for Philip?  8)
