Advice Required!!!

I am wondering if anyone has any tried and trusted methods upon how to restore both colour and shine to a GRP Paper Dart deck? It was once a 'pea green' colour and over the years has faded, mainly on the foredeck.
I've tired ordinary boat polish; it brings out a shine but no colour. Do the colour restorers you can buy work effectively on old decks?
