Restoring Holt design N1002 slowly.  Over the years someone has applied various mods, including a home made rudder and tiller.  The tiller attachment to the rudder stock is too flimsy and the rudder is a narrow vertical blade which, I suspect, is not giving me enough control against weather helm.  Are there any clear photos or drawings which I could have a look at to return Amante closer to original?

This also applies to the transom generally as it has also been modified.

Am in the (long) process of renovating N1002.  Although I will be sailing with an ali mast I still have the original wooden one.  Unfortunately it has become unstuck.  

Anyone have any experience or know which sticky-stuff to use for the best results?
