Thanks John
Brian Herring kindly phoned me to say he could measure the sails on Friday if I called in at his place on the way down but if you can fit me in that would be better as we cant get on the road till mid afternoon and will be putting the tent up in the dark as it is!

Thanks to the visitors for coming and to our sponsors GUL for the prizes. Report to follow but for the time being here are some photos of the action.

Thanks for the info. I have come to the open a number of times over recent years and when I have paid the chap at the car park that has usually been the deal but I just wanted to check.

And the weather is looking promising as well!

Matching hoodies ordered for helm and crew. We should be the best turned out if not the fastest team on show.

I'm planning to make the trip down from Lancashire with 3502. Please can you let me know what the arrangements are as regards Harbour Dues and boat parking at Shadycombe?

Thanks

Hope to see the regulars plus some new faces from further afield for the Burwain SC National 12 open on 21st April which is now a Gul Series meeting. Pre-registration is now possible on our new website. The info on the website says the start is 11am at the moment but we actually plan to start at 12 which will give people a lie in or more time to get there (it fits in with club racing and the OOD says that last year by the time everyone got ready it was nearly 12 in any case).

If anybody wants to make a weekend of it you are very welcome to sail on Saturday in the club racing and or camp on site. Just let me know and I will arrange access to clubhouse facilities, open the bar etc.

Hi Noami

I am planning to be at the show both days. I can do an afternoon slot Saturday and/or a monrning slot Sunday. Looks like a good turnout of Northern sailors for the show.

Planning to come with Carbonara N3502. Sorry not able to stay for social as Saturday night is Burwain Sailing Club's annual dinner. Hope to sail on Sunday subject to hangover.

Look forward to seeing you there. I hope the weather dries up a bit by Saturday. A few years ago it was very difficult to get through the muddy puddle and out of the car park on the way home!

Are any National 12 sailors headed to Ullswater this weekend for the Lord Birkett event? I will be taking Carbonara 3502 from Burwain. It would be good to have some company! I notice last year Mark Fearnley from South Windermere sailing 3497 managed a very creditable 11th overall.
