Ratchet will not be published in January as there is the newsletter going out.
The committee are reviewing and Antony will make an official announcement on the future editions of Ratchet in the near future.
I do know I have volunteered to produce Ratchet in March time, look forward to receiving some copy and ideas for this issue (dream on simon!).
My news is that I have bought Jon Whitehead's bright yellow Chapter, so you can look forward to a picture of her and her proud new owner.
Happy Christmas and a successful New Year to all!
Simon
ps. Jim, no need for an answer or comment!!!!  ;D

Hi Everyone, I have managed to produce my first version of Ratchet, this is due to be printed later this week after I get the Filey report and published later this month.
I hope you agree it is not bad for a first attempt, look forwards to improving with the next issues, especially with content!
For the September issue I would like to receive all the stories you unfortunately couldn't find time to send me in for Issue 46'. I would also like to hear your story about Burton Week, especially from you new boys and girls!
My email is swalworths@aol.com

Hi Everyone
I've gone to press. So if you want a story to go in it's too late this time.
Meantime, we need your stories for the apres-Burton edition of Ratchet,
What do I need?
Your story of Burton Week.
Reports on open meetings and photos (jpegs please).
Interesting! stories about the National 12's at your club.
Who's building what and where, who's refurbishing what and where.
I want to do a profile on a 12 sailer, this does not have to be one of our rock stars, please tell me about someone at your club - it can be humorous or a special achievement.
This is your news letter, so YOU need to tell me what is going on and I'll pull it all together.
If you do nothing and then whinge if nothing is produced then you only have yourselves to blame!
Just so you know who I am -
Simon Walworth, member at Spinnaker, proud owner of 'Passion Pudding' 3470 built by Dare Barry in 2001.
I can be emailed at simon@boatmatch.com or my mobile is 07855 787561. By post - ring me for my address.
WAKE UP YOU LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those who are interested, I have posted some pictures of the event in the 2005 gallery.
Looks like we were all having a great time.

Just a second reminder to you all inviting you to the Spinnaker Open meeting this Saturday. The lake is very challenging and great fun to sail on, especially when you have Mr Wilkins to beat up on!!! We have several 12's on the lake so there is a race for everyone from the least to the most experienced.
I understand you will even get a free tea after the sailing, plus a special award for the person who beats David by the biggest margin. ;D

Having gone to enormous trouble and expense to take a pictures of Mr Cooke looking a complete plonker at the boat show, he now tells me he will not publish the same in the Ratchet. I suggest if enough people vote he should he could be forced out in to the open. If you didn't get to the show and see the new boat he has just completed, then let me tell you it not only looked the business, it also appeared extemely well founded and well thought out. So, like me, you had better start saving up the pennies so he can make you one.
