Boats / Re: N767 Gemini

This boat was bought by my parents in the early 1950s or late 1940s.  They renamed it Snail's Trail, and sailed it a lot in the 1950s, mainly at Bosham.  We think it is an Uffa King.

It was renovated in the 1970s.

In the 1990s it was sailed regularly for a while by a friend at Beaulieu River sailing club.  At that time it was kept on its road trailer at Beaulieu River, and was blown over in a storm, smashing the mast.  It has not been sailed since then, though a new mast was made, and the boat has been laid up since.

The attached photo shows it being sailed in 1997 in Beaulieu River.  Note that the mainsail was acquired second hand and shows an incorrect number.  The original sail is in poor condition – it is pale green to match the jib.

Snail's Trail is currently intact and reasonably rot free, but with some damaged planks, and it needs a good deal of restoration.  More photos to follow.
