Originally owned by Dave Peacock then of Redesmere SC. N2959 was the sister boat of N2994 both build by Joe Radgick of Exmouth.

The boat was originally build by Joe Radgick in Exmouth for John Whitehead, then of Redesmere sailing club, the original name was The Faker and John had a lot of success on the midland area circuit as it was at the time. Original colour was a maroon which was very similar to the colour shown in the later photos in this thread. good to see it looking so well still.

I am not 100% certain but I think this is a Wind-Fall design by Phil Morrison, build by Joe Radgick based in Exmouth.. It was originally owned by Jon Whitehead who sailed at Redesmere S C in the NorthWest and was well known on the open meeting circuit. The boat was originally called "The Faker" if my memory serves me correctly
It is the sister boat of N2959 also a Windfall and also built by Joe Radgick at the same time

My 1st ever N12, bought by my father Bill Warren (who was a staunch N12 supporter) in about 1972 to start my love affair with the twelves, after graduating from Mirrors :-) We changed the name to Plane Lucky.
Sold in about 1974 when I bought a Warlock N2557 and the rest is history as they say. Good times;D 

I bought N2958 as a new build from a builder in Exmouth called Joe Radgick, a beautiful Cheshire Cat back in approx 1977.
(John Whitehead N2963 and Dave Peacock N2959 ordered new boats (Phil Morrison Designed Wind-Falls) at the same time so I believe we got a good deal;)  Joe was an excellent builder and all 3 boats looked fantastic.)
It was a shame as I was never able to get the boat to be as competitive as the Warlock I had sold and eventually sold the Cat in 1978 to Geoff Crouch of Rudyard Lake who later sold it on to Rob Simcock also of Rudyard Lake S C.

Two Crewed, was actually a China Doll and build by Rob Gray and his father Doug. It was sailed predominantly  by Rrob and my sister Gill at Rudyard Lake in Staffordshire until around 1980 when the boat was 'retired' due to other interests at the time. Last heard that Rob was going to bring it out of hibernation (around the 2009 era )and sell it so someone could have as much enjoyment as he had had 30 years earlier

I purchased N2557 from a family in Maidstone, Kent back in around 1974. Home club was Rudyard Lake in Staffordshire an inland water approx 1.5 miles long set in a valley. A fantastic boat, which my friend Dave and myself took to many an open meeting with some success along the way from Roa Island (near Barrow in Furness)in the North West of England to the  Champs at Falmouth and Llandudno as well as Salcombe week, and a fair few lakes and rivers in between.

sold the Warlock around 1977, to a sailor from Redesmere and purchased N2958 a Cheshire Cat but never achieved the heights of the Warlock.
