The Chichester Yacht Club Jack Holt Centenary Open is open to any dinghy designed by Jack Holt. It takes place at Chichester Yacht Club on Sunday 22nd April at 11:30. Both ‘Classic’ and ‘Modern’ Holt boats are welcome. Full details on www.cycdinghies.co.uk

The Hull has been refurbed, new cover made and new suits of sails purchased so now need to get N3500 re-rigged.
 
What are the popular choices of Rope and Diameters used for
 
a) Rope section of the Adjustable shrouds
b) Main Halyard
c) Jib Halyard (Crazy is simple at the moment with loop onto hook rack)
d) Spilt of Main/Bridle
 
Options are on looking and reading appear to be
 
Dyneema - Marlow Excel D12, Excel D12 Max 78 or Liros D-pro (all 12 Strand)
Vectran - Marlow Excel V12

Just in the process of buying a 12 so thought it would only be polite to still our heads around the door and say HI
Hope to have her on the water early spring after a full refurb.  Plan is to take her up to Mike at Aardvark (very helpful) for the hull and topsides to be given the once over and get a new suit of sails from P&B (also very helpful, unlike another I phoned ).  Once on the drive we'll be sorting the ropes and rigging.
Not new to sailing but our first twelve (have always wanted one) so bare with me when the Q's start coming!
