Looking forward to it already (safety boat duty this weekend!). There always seems to be a good breeze at Grafham, and good race organisation too.

We are planning to show up on Sunday, but unfortunately can't join you until after lunch.  Looking forward to seeing you there !

Simplest way is to leave at Jn10 - take the A329(M) towards Reading.

At the end of the A329(M), take the A4 towards Sonning and Twyford (not Reading). This junction can be confusing because the dual carriageway actually carries on into a business park, you need to exit onto the roundabout below.

Follow the A4 for quite a distance, and several roundabouts, until you reach a roundabout where the A321 crosses. Here turn left towards Wargrave and Henley.

Go through Wargrave village (a set of traffic lights), watch out for the river on the left and then turn left onto a track which is signposted to the sailing club. A bit further down the track look for a further left turn - again it should be signposted.

See you there!

Hi David
On the case re crews, I will try and phone round this evening and see if I can sort anything.  If you find someone in the mean time, please let me know.

Thorpe Bay was interesting for someone who doesn't like it too windy !  Glad we were in the Chapter !

Hope to see you Sunday

To all those thinking about a nice day out at Henley ... the current forecast is sun and 10mph from the right direction ... and the cakes smell wonderful!

If you are thinking of coming, then a post, email or call would be appreciated to ensure that we don't run out of cake.

Thanks, John

Please don't blame Zoe for the editorial inaccuracies in the report - all down to Mandy and me I am afraid!

We obviously couldn't see beyond Grafham ... now that I realise the ultimate event is at Northampton we could even qualify for the Gill series.

Hi Dave,

Have you tried the Henley contingent? I know that there is a small army of them going down, including some fairly keen children (sorry young people!).

Drop us an email if you want some suggestions.

See you Saturday.

David / Mike,

We did go (past in our new toy), but didn't recognise any faces so didn't stop (to apologise for getting in the way). Looked like typical Desborough, but there was some wind. A shame there were no visitors, we will make the effort next year.

Hi Mike,

Take this as an expression of interest for Ranelagh this weekend! I trust the weather will be warmer than this weekend ... and I still need to sort out some child care ... but all being well and good I will see you there.

Cheers, John

Hi Ken,

I know that N2646 is still sailing (occasionally) at Henley. I believe that the boat is still owned by Derek Gorman, but it is mainly used as a Club boat. On the river it is as competive as ever and remains in good condition, if a little heavy by todays standards.

Ahhh there is life in the Thames Area after Christmas, looking forwards to bringing the 'new' boat down for a trial sail.

I heard a rumour that Bim might be coming for a sail as well, can anyone confirm?
