Thanks for the feedback guys. So Steve I'm guessing if I want the rudder to stay unloaded I anm better off adjusting the pointless rather than the stock. Has anybody actually tried just adjusting the stock and got any feedback how bad this loading is?
Thanks again for all the imput to date

Boats / Re: N3317 Ninky Nonk

Bought this boat from Chris Wright? From Northampton sailing club in about 1997 and owners until 2005ish. Sold to  guy up in Suffolk, Dirk Bogart or similar. Had great fun with her on the Sea at Gunfleet Sailing Club sailing her with my wife until the kids came along. Now started sailing again as the kids want to give it a go.
looks very similar to how it did when I had her, same rigging, sheets etc just a few more battle scars. Hope you enjoy her as much as we did! Many happy memories

Anybody??
#36
Anybody live down that way who comes up to Harwich who could bring it up with them? Too far to justify travelling down but worth a punt if somebody is happy to do this for petrol money if coming this way anywhere. Please comment on here not on private message as e mail not working at all so won't get. Or give me a bell. Phone no in hand book

Got a foiling rudder to retro fit to boat but need to build stock for it. Before I do this can any one give me any help
what is the Max rake required from the horizontal forewards, does it EVER need raking aft?
does it always default to a vertical position, ie get swept back if not raked forewards? Hope that makes sense
how much does it need adjusting once set up for conditions and the leg being sailed
is there any geometric advantage to having the pintles move rather than the stock itself if you could remove stretch in any system used. Look forwards to any advice you guys can give. Got an idea in my head, well two but need this info before I can develop it further

Received today, going to have one very excited son when he gets home tonight. He probably won't take them off till he goes to bed. Thank you very much.
definitely hope to see you around. Looking at events definitely planning on Brightlingsea and Harwich and if I've done them may as well qualify for the Gil series even if in last place:)

Ed don't suppose you have a eBay number for it do you, just looked and can't find it. Could be interested in upgrading hull or even setting up two boats out of all the bits I have.
Cheers Stuart
