Royal Harwich YC open meeting

A fleet of twelve N12’s joined Larks and Fireflys at Royal Harwich Yacht Club for a two day open meeting on 6th and 7th of June.   fleet contained four former National  champions, so it was going to be a tough event to win. PRO Graham Ireland devised five different courses which, along with puffs and fluctuating shifts kept competitors on ir toes.

Tom Stewart and Liz Ross used ir considerable experience and knowledge to score three firsts and two second places in a variety of conditions to win from Graham Camm and Zoe Ballantyne who won one race and had led anor only to sail wrong course. Antony and Jo Giffords navigation was spot on and y sailed well to win complicated second race.
