National 12s @ Redesmere

Slightly damp and overcast conditions, with little wind, seemed to have dampened the enthusiasm of National 12 sailors, as only three crews, all from RSC, turned up.

Jon and Megan Whitehead led from the line at the first boat start, closely followed by Alan and Peter Mason, with Guy Benson and Robert Wilbraham bringing up the rear. The slow, stately procession continued throughout, with Alan just behind Jon at the finish.

The second race was similar, until Guy and Robert's forestay gently drifted apart from the bows and they had to retire.

The last race was run back to back to save time on the water. After a close start, Alan made a good decision at the second mark to get ahead - for the time being! A close battle up to the penultimate mark saw Alan unfortunately hitting the mark! Jon was quick to take advantage and forged ahead to win again.
