Impact hull decked by Tim Tomlinson and called double top as it was a 40th B day present.
Sold to Nigel Goodhew around 1989 and sailed at Earlswood Lakes SC.Renamed Persephone.
Sold to me and sailed at ELSC and at burton 1990 at Llandudno after major surgery around the front of the C/B case to stiffen it up due to extra loads from raking rig. It also stiffened the hull up immensely.
I sold it to a guy at Olton Mere, R.Cherry who sold it to Richard Pilgrim at TVSC

Very interested to see that Skrappa was originally a 40th birthday present as my wife bought skrappa for me in 2005 for my 40th birthday (damn I gave my age away!). In recognition of this I propose to rename skrappa to 'Double Top'. I didn't much like the name skrappa although the name suits her as she is not in the best of condition and looks likes she's been in some fights! She suits me because I'm relatively new to sailing and she has given me lots of challenging yet inexpensive experience. She is kept at TVSC. Richard sold her to Paul Turner and then from Paul she passed to me.

Tim Tomlinson sold me this beautifully varnished Tigress in 1987. She was my first National 12. I had been sailing a Europe for a number of years and fancied the 12 for aesthetic reasons as a worthy step up to teach my girlfiend to sail. We sailed at Earlswood lakes in Birmingham and on the open meeting circuit.

We renamed her Persephone, and learned huge amounts in her, including how to right a capsized '12, before taking the plunge and getting a new Crusader '88 from Gerry Ledger.

One memorable day at Porchester, a shroud broke and gave us a fright. We met several good friends campaigning her in 1987 and 1988, including David and Jenny Knight who sailed a similar all varnished boat.

p.s. Now sailing a Sigma 38 called Persephone. The girl in question is now my wife and the navigator.
