This picture was taken on New Year's Day 1979 in Salcombe by my Dad Norman Saxby. The helm is Peter Sturgess, who was/is a Chiropractor so the name manipulator is apt. The crew is Helen Saxby (now Lloyd). At that time we wore oil skins and thick jumpers as wetsuits weren't readily available then. Now we use wet suits but we don't remember it snowing so much in Salcombe since!
