From Ken Goddard
This boat was launched around the middle of 1964 and the first owner was a Mr. P.J Wood of Torquay and the boat was called "Dibitag". He sold the boat in late 1965 and she was bought by Air Vice Marshall J.M.Cohu of Salcombe. (In the history of National Twelve sailing, he was one of two Officers of Flag Rank to sail Twelves. He previously sailed N.1873). The boat was renamed "Mu".
"Mu" and her owner achieved what was probably her greatest success by coming 2nd in the practice race at the 1966 Burton Week at Llandudno. I sailed against "Mu" and the AVM in the National 12 races at the Brixham and Torquay Regattas of 1967. I subsequently sailed at Torquay and Dartmouth Regattas of 1970, but "Mu" did not appear. Her eventual fate is unknown.
