Free N1137 Rapscallion 1953

With only one owner from new, N1137 is now available for a new owner to restore and cherish her.
My mother, Beryl Higgins, commissioned Jack Holt to build Rapscallion in 1953 to her own unique design - ribbed clinker and flexible wooden mast extending through to the keel. She sailed it at Burton Week in 1955 and continued to race Rapscallion, very successfully, right through into her 80's - latterly at Desborough Sailing Club on the Thames - at which point it is believed to have been the oldest National 12 in the country still regularly raced.
Beryl sadly passed away in 2022 and Rapscallion has now been unused for around 10 years. The family would like someone to take her on with the intention of undertaking a full restoration and returning her to the water where she belongs.
We are not asking for any payment for Rapscallion, but would appreciate a donation to the British Heart Foundation instead.
The boat is currently in Surrey and has no road trailer or launching trolley. Sails will probably be u/s but general condition is fair and very restorable.
Preference will be given to interested parties with experience in restoration and who can collect in a reasonable time frame.
