Classic wooden National 12 sailing dinghy in excellent condition.

Thunor (ex Ratbag) is a 1957 Proctor Mark VI, of clinker lapstrake build.

I have owned Thunor for 4 years, and in that time spent over £500 on getting her shipshape.

Her keel and centreboard case have been rebuilt, and delaminating ply on her foredeck fully and professionally repaired; both by Gosport Wooden Boats.

On top of this, I fully sanded and varnished Thunor inside and out 18 months ago, and her hull and interior are in terrific condition.

Thunor has a usable rig and sails, although could definitely do with a more up to date setup. She still absolutely flies, while feeling very secure for such a thoroughbred racing dinghy.

She also comes with a good launching trolley and a scruffy but usable road trailer. Her cover is in good condition with no rips, but some of the fastening straps need replacing or re-attaching.

It is a crying shame that she is just not used enough here - my boys didn't take to two handed dinghy sailing and my knees won't take more than a short sail.

She was in our garage last winter, and under cover over summer. She is as dry as a bone, although currently comes with her own private army of spiders.

I am looking for someone who will use her properly - preferably race her in the classic N12 circuit - she needs using!

Collection from Gosport, Hampshire.
