The life of N261 Roamer. Design: Uffa King, designed by: Uffa Fox in 1936
Previous boat names: Roamer, Back 2 Bay 6, Back II Bay VI, prior to reverting to Roamer.
A fellow club member Royston Hickman, who is registered Deaf and Blind learned to sail in Roamer when it was owned by Frank Hazelwood. He has just made a scale model 1" to the ft of Roamer. I attach a photo of the model in it's case.
Brian Herring recently completed the restoration of N261, and reports that she is surprisingly competitive in Club racing in winds of Force 1 to 2. Pictures of Brian and Roz racing at Winsford Flash, plus the first launch after restoration.
