Title: Boats arriving for race meeting by rail
Post by: duncan on 13 Apr 2020, 03:48

Good afternoon All
I have a vague recollection of seeing an old bit of film of N12 dinghies arriving on a train for a (large ?) regatta.  The thought is that the film was of them being unloaded (or possibly loaded afterwards) into the brake vans ?  Does this jog any memories ?
Thanks Duncan

Greetings. I believe this is what happened for the very first N12 open meeting held at TVSC pre WW2 (please note that I wasn't born then!) with the boats being carried from the (now removed) Trent Station to the Club. I can't see N12 train travel happening again! Px  8)
