HERNE BAY SAILING CLUB
Herne Bay Sailing Club is situated on the North coast of Kent between Margate and Whistable and offers a superb sailing area with racing right off the beach and water conditions of rolling swells and clean winds. A small friendly clubhouse with great views straight out over the beach. Camping is available just behind the club on public land owned by the local council, making it very easy reach of the bar! Launching is straight off the beach in front of the club and boats will be kept on the promenade (see picture to the right). There is also a timber slatted slip for launching.
Whilst there is B&B accommodation in the area, it is limited in the Town of Herne Bay . Below is a link to Google search results including a map to their whereabouts:
BURTON CUP DINNER
For the Burton Dinner this year the class has arranged for the evening to take place just a short drive inland in the village of Herne (not to be confused with Herne Bay!)
Three course menu with coffee. If you wish to participate in the Burton Dinner at £26pp please include this when completing your entry as tickets are only available before the event. Please also indicate any specific dietary requirements to aid smooth preparation for the evening.
