HOW CAN I FIND A BOAT TO BORROW IF THERE ARE NONE AT MY CLUB?

Whilst we can’t guarantee to find you a boat for the event we will do our utmost to quickly match boats and  teams together. As a first point of contact please e-mail the BW webmaster using the link below. The information will then be forwarded around the class association who will endeavour to sort you out.

Please include the following information in your e-mail so that we can best match you to a suitable boat:

*Have you sailed a 12 before- if so what design (if you know)?

*Previous sailing experience- & class you currently sail.

*What design are you interested in? -contemporary design (Double  Bottomed)/   Admirals Cup boat (single Bottomed & more  stable!)/ Vintage   (planked hulls)

*Where you are based, and how far you would be willing to travel    to pick up the boat if necessary.

* Full Contact details

INTERESTED IN COMING TO BURTON WEEK BUT DON’T OWN A 12?

National 12’s have a competitive  Combined Helm/crew weight range of between 16-23 stone and carrying around 10.4m2  sail area. If you are interested in competing at BW 2014 but don’t own your own 12, why not firstly try contacting someone at your local club who owns a Twelve. If they are not coming along you might well be able to do a deal, or  they might be able to point you to another local Twelve owner instead.  With the National 12 class being a development class and having a history dating back over 75 years there are a wide range of designs.  The fantastic thing about the boat, is that whatever age or design of boat you sail, there is always someone else to compete against at the event, you don’t necessarily need to be in the latest t-foiling design to have a superb event.
