To whet your appetite for this long weekend's Gill Series Event at Salcombe Yacht Club, check out the article on Yachts and Yachting along with Tim Laws' brilliant film of the dramatic action that took place last year!

First race on Saturday starts at 13.50hrs and you can enter online on the SYC website:http://www.salcombeyc.org.uk
(The NOR is also there at the bottom of the homepage.)

Salcombe offers some of the most exciting sailing in the country and the club house also boasts a very good bar! :)

Worth noting that it says on the Salcombe website that all sailors are encouraged to enter at least 24 hours in advance of an open meeting... and I know it makes their lives easier if we do!

I have followed the request in the earlier posting and emailed Jools to try to book dinners for Saturday night.  There does not seem too much downside in making other peoples lives easier on this occassion!
Entering on-line helps everybody, otherwise there is the old question - will the club send somebody to the car park to take entries or do you have to walk to SYC to enter on Saturday.....
I am looking forward to those locals bragging about their micro-climate this weekend.  If it is dry and sunny I will have to concede that there really is one.......

The locals are right about the mico-climate, we went to the beach every day this weekend and did not get rained on... I even felt a bit guilty about not putting suncream on the children on Sunday.
Results:  Graham and Zoe 1st, Tom and Jo 2nd, Meds and various 3rd.
Must remember to go to Salcombe more often....
