You could catch the other ferry, (Northlinks Hamnavoe) Straight from Scrabster that actually takes you straight into the harbour we sail in! :D PS - Northlink is alot more luxurious.

We sail until about 9PM during august, and we sail less than a 20 second walk from a Campsite! Midgies are only here on a day with lack of wind, which isn't common.

Ok, combined we will weigh no more than 15 stone so I reckon it will be a bit of trouble for us.

I have realised sailing my boat we are 2 lightweight teenagers and will not be able to hold the boat up unless we sail slower, and i am wondering -

Can you sail a National 12 with a Trapeze for the crew?

Thanks! :)

Ok, I've added you. Looking at your pics it makes my work so far look terrible! :(

Thank you! :)  Another thing I am confused about - first I must say, I have bought this boat without any instructions on rigging etc - is what are the Cleats on either side of the boat (you can see your left hand side one in the picture) used for? as they look to be facing the wrong way. I am confused about seeing this on my boat too! I'm also looking for rigging for the Cunningham! :)

Thanks :D

Yes Chadders, that would be greatly appreciated. Mine is also a Starfish! 'Roly Mo' would you also be able to send me pictures of your rigging? (omand95@yahoo.co.uk)

Thanks!

The most common boat sailed in Stromness is a Snipe - a 2 man, 15.5ft dinghy. :)

Well every week this summer it has been never above Force 4, the majority of the weeks there has actually been a great lack in wind :( however the past 2 weeks the wind did pick up to a steady 20mph! :)

Hi, i am the new owner of a 1962 national 12, and was just wondering where should i set up the rigging (block and cleat) for my Dangly Pole, because the floor isn't flat and is very deep and low to work with, with ease...?

Pictures and advice would be appreciated.
