Messages - Little Bo

#16
Gardening looking good for the weekend Angus!  If the NOR says no campervans then we have little choice but to respect that.  Sad.

Hoping to make it down for the Jenny Lee but that will be our lot for NWNW this year.  Will bring Xanthus or the D8 I suspect.

The NOR once again bans campervans from being on site overnight.  Does anyone know if this is going to be enforced?  7m of Clark motorhome will be much better parked up in a corner for the weekend than travelling in each day and trying to park up . . . .

N3447 is just the boat for you, we've emailed you!

I'm delighted to be able to tell you that the 2010 programme is now finalised and will go to the printers shortly.  It is my intention to get it to Graham this weekend for website posting.
Can I take this opportunity to thank all those who have worked behind the scenes to put the Gill, area, Vintage and Youth series together - thanks chaps!
Miss Clark, who has been privy to the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into pulling it together, has already worked out where she will crew (and where she will not!) and I'm looking forward to taking some pics at some super locations.
Happy sailing

I was getting very worried - had another boat appeared in the Clark household without me knowing about it?  Seems not (thankfully) although there are mutterings about 'if only we had the space' whenever himself has sailed a Ribbie . . . .
Mrs RM
PS anyone want to buy a 2.8m Avon RIB?  We have one which is surplus to requirements taking up garage space . . . .

I suspect ICM, either in person or via the Old Man of the Sea, has the answer to this one!

Miss Clark seems to have ditched RM as Mirror helm - planning to sail it with her friend Georgie in the club Volvo junior series!    We shall see how they get on - we suspect there will be a lot of chatter and not a lot of concentration but remain to be proved wrong.  Woe betide any boys who get in their way - they have the makings of a ruthless pair!!

Very keen to book for the dinner but need to know what junior options there are - Ellie won't eat a full adult meal and I'm quite happy to bring her some food in, or to have a child friendly option but I can't get an answer - HELP!

Please keep a space for Team Roly's motorhome!  Looking forward to it greatly,

A family sail would be good on one of the non-committed evenings.  We could retire to the Jolly Sailor for some ale afterwards.
Oh for that lovely Norfolk sun!

It might be helpful if people could pass on the message to those who are not devotees of the discussion group but do like their Norfolk sailing!

I am led to believe that a combination of the Harbour Master and other august bodies in Brancaster Staithe feel they cannot cope with such an influx of sailors .  It is incredibly disappointing as it is such a lovely place to sail and I know Adrian had been so very delighted when we initially were being allowed to go back there.  I understand he will be competing though, and that Joan will be dealing with the polo shirts so we will get chance to see them, and perhaps to acknowledge, individually and as a class, our thanks for all they have done over the years.   Our form has gone off in the post today - we won't be sailing over the weekend at Snett - there's a vintage meeting at Wroxham that weekend so we are bringing Roly and Xanthus on holiday with us, alongside the buckets and spades!
J
PS  Don't forget that the 12's will also be able to compete for the Jenny Lee trophy, which isn't yet fixed in terms of it's slot in the week - Overy Staithe is quite the best place in the world to sail and Peter and Melba always make everyone so welcome.

A word of caution which I'd asked to have included in the posting but seems to have been missed . . . . the main calendar is still not finalised and at least 1 of the meetings listed is still under discussion.  The definitive programme, including agreed youth events, will be published soon but please bear with us as we try to sort out the last few glitches.

My view is that 3 out of 6 would be a more realistic qualification criteria.
